Labor, the Middle Class and Us

On this Labor Day weekend, a video from Change to Win lays out what we are fighting for more clearly than any number of parades or speeches will ever do.

What can you do to help us all change to win?
– Read the report “America’s Endangered Middle Class” from The American Prospect.
– Read the article “Unions Make the Middle Class” from the Center for American Progress.
– Read about the campaigns of Change to Win … to win for us and the U.S.
– Do your part to make sure that people are aware of what is at stake.

Here is the stark reality:
Union Membership

Use this Labor Day to remember and honor those who came before us to fight for decent wages and safe working conditions. Then pick up where they left off to fight to keep decent wages and safe working conditions.

Progressive fights are never done because there will always be those who long for a return to the 19th century when women and workers knew their place.

Solidarity and fist bumps!

  1. I admit that I am a sucker for the whiteboard presentations. This one was more than just a call to arms … the history was brilliant.
