Saturday Videos – October 22, 2011

Saturday dawns and this is my excuse to spend time on the Comedy Central web site to “find” one or two videos to share.

Since the week ending October 15 was a Comedy Central hiatus, today is a double helping of videos.

Stephen Colbert – The Colbert Report

Tip/Wag – Tea Party Nation Pledge & Spirit Airlines’ Ad Revenue

The Tea Party Nation asks its members to pledge not to hire employees, and Spirit Airlines turns jets into flying billboards.

Indecision 2012 – Job-Killing EPA

The Republican presidential candidates all agree on one thing: they want to end the EPA’s job-murdering environmental regulations.

Help yourself to some more Stephen Colbert (guaranteed non fattening!).

Jon Stewart – The Daily Show with Jon Stewart

No’Amor Qaddafi

News of Muammar al-Gaddafi’s death gives rise to celebratory gun shooting, victory slogan chanting and baby throwing in Libya, but Republicans have a different reaction.

Scorn in the U.S.A.

It must be tough for Republicans to love America so much but hate almost three-quarters of the people living in it.

More Jon Stewart to while away your morning.

  1. “Scorn in the USA” is a classic.

His take on Newt Gingrich’s complaint about professors flunking conservative students out of class:
“Oh yes, Fictional U. Go fighting figments of your paranoid imagination!”

Here is a screen cap of the Venn diagram with the overlapping of “Enemies of America” and “People Who Don’t Vote Republican”:

Now if we can just get the 3/4s of Americans that Republicans hate to return the favor.
